This Saturday, July 26th, marks the absolute, final day that Gale Force Nine will be able to sell our Warmachine and Hordes licensed accessories directly. With items rapidly going out of stock, please be sure to get your orders in as soon as possible or come visit our booth at Historicon this weekend.

Gale Force Nine is launching our new line of essential Gaming Aids products. This collection features classic GF9 designs, exciting revisions to many favorite products and new accessories to enhance your tabletop wargaming experience and dominate your opponent. Over the summer we’ll be spotlighting each of these products in turn.

This new line of critical Gaming Aids will be available in Game and Hobby Shops worldwide. Gaming Aids are pre-assembled and ready to deploy to the warzone right out of the package.

New Designs! Improved Function! Better Value!

Gale Force Nine’s Charge / Retreat Arrows have been a favorite for years. While their design is simple and timeless, there was only one area we could improve on, quantity! Each pack of arrows now contains EIGHT bright red arrow markers to indicate declared charges and intended targets. Each piece is numbered FIRST through EIGHTH so there there’s no mistaking the order of attack. The flip side of the arrow is marked RETREAT to mark your fleeing troops should the fight go against them.

Gale Force Nine’s revised Charge / Retreat Arrows and our whole new line of Gaming Aids can be found on our new prodigious Gaming Aids racks in your favorite Hobby Store and right here at the GF9 Online Store.

Our popular dice sets for Warmachine and Hordes are available once again! These quality dice are cast in a faction or warband specific color and emblazoned with the appropriate logo in place of the SIX. Each package contains twenty (20) dice; sixteen (16) faction versions and four (4) Privateer Press™ logo dice. While these dice are no longer packaged in a handy dice tin, each pack contains twice as many dice as before!

We only have a limited amount of these dice remaining and once they’re gone, they are gone for good! As of July 26th, Gale Force Nine will no longer be able to sell these dice as well as our templates and tokens for Warmachine and Hordes.

The GF9 Team

GF9’s best-selling gaming aid has been taken back to the drawing board and redesigned to make it even better! The Multi-Template Mark II offers a superior level of playability, durability and visual appeal.



The more compact shape allows a player to get the template into tighter spaces on the battlefield; such a whirling close combat where toy soldiers are tightly packed. We have also eliminated any extended, weaker points on the template. This greatly cuts down the chance that the template may crack or even break at one of the joints since the narrow parts are gone. Last, but most certainly not least, we made the Mark II neon orange. Try losing this template on a tabletop! Not going to happen! Game ON!


One question has been asked more than any other regarding the Mark II Multi-Template: Why would GF9 redesign a product that they sell thousands of each year? The answer is very simple: We listened to the feedback from players all around the world and recognized that there was room for improvement on an already great product. This is how the Mark II came about...player input matters!

The Multi-Template MK II will be in stores worldwide as part of Gale Force Nine's dynamic new line of Gaming Aids releasing this summer. The template can also be purchased from the GF9 Online Store!

To our disappointment, Privateer Press has chosen not to renew the Warmachine and Hordes accessories license with GF9 in favor of producing their own range of gaming aids. (See “Privateer Press, Inc. announces new gaming tokens for WARMACHINE and HORDES”, May 23, 2008, www.privateerpress.com!).

This announcement will affect all Privateer Press™ licensed products including branded tokens, templates, terrain and dice tins for both Warmachine™ and Hordes™. The tokens, templates and dice tins will be available for direct sale through July 26th, 2008. Terrain sets will be available through September 16th, 2008. After this sell-through period, the tokens, templates and dice tins will no longer be available direct from GF9.

We have enjoyed creating the most successful range of branded accessories for Privateer Press games in the industry. We would like to thank Privateer Press for the opportunity to show the world how good gaming accessories can be and the many fans that made our accessories the standard by which all others are judged.

The Menoth Altar of Flame is shining testament to the zealous faith of the Protectorate. Enemy forces know what a crushing blow to Menoth morale the loss of a shrine is to the Protectorate, so warbands target them for destruction whenever possible. But the inspiration Menoth troops draw from these places makes them the most stalwart of defenders. This stately terrain set is a perfect centerpiece for any Warmachine battle!

The fearsome warjacks and dark industries of Cryx are fueled by a charnel material known as Necrotite. Necrotite is created at sites of bloodshed and slaughter where the earth itself has been stained by agony and death. Over time a lusterless dark mineral forms that at first glance resembles coal but upon closer inspection reveals something far more sinister. The vile mineral unleashes necrotic energy which can be harnessed by skilled Necrotechs. Mining crews set up these foul mining rigs across the Iron Kingdoms and guard them violently as their foes seek to rob them of their unholy resource. This dark and fantastic terrain set sets the stage for conflicts in your games of Warmachine!
